Storage of Nylon Straps

Nylon suspenders should be stored in the warehouse with a top cover and a bottom pad, protected from rain, sun, fire, and moisture. Outdoor storage is prohibited.

Each batch of newly added nylon straps must have complete original data (including manufacturer's production certificate, acceptance certificate, quality assurance certificate).

Nylon slings used on the production site must not be thrown or placed randomly, and must be classified and placed in designated locations. When not in use, the sling should be stored in a clean, dry, and well ventilated place; Nylon straps should be placed on a shelf and kept away from heat sources to avoid contact with chemicals, smoke, and corrosive substances; Avoid direct sunlight or other sources of ultraviolet radiation.

Nylon sling usage and maintenance

1. Nylon straps must not be crossed or twisted, knotted, twisted, or overloaded.

When moving nylon slings and lifting steel pipes, do not drag them.

When lifting steel pipes, the sling should ensure uniform load-bearing in the width direction. Straps should not be folded.

Four pairs of reusable nylon slings must be carefully inspected and confirmed by the lifting personnel before lifting to ensure their safety.

When lifting, the lifting personnel must stand in a safe position and conduct a trial lifting of the sling before commanding the crane to lift.

6. It is strictly prohibited to hang steel pipes with nylon slings for too long, to lift steel pipes with oil stains on the surface, and to lift steel pipes with a surface temperature greater than 50 ℃.

During the lifting process, it is strictly prohibited to collide or impact the steel pipes being lifted. Prevent the steel pipe from rotating or colliding with other objects, avoid instant or impact loading, and increase the force on the sling.

When placing steel pipes, they should be handled with care to avoid damage to the lifting straps.

Scrap standard for nylon suspenders

Straps with horizontal or vertical scratches or cuts on the surface, as well as damaged edges and soft rings, are not allowed to be used. 

2. Straps with defects such as surface fiber detachment or abrasion caused by corrosion are not allowed to be used.

Straps with cutting defects on the edges are not allowed to be used.

When the nylon sling is severely twisted, deformed, or fuzzy, it is not allowed to be used.

When the surface of the nylon sling has the following conditions, it should be immediately scrapped and not used:

(1) The surface of the nylon sling becomes blackened due to moisture, or the surface of the nylon sling turns yellow after high-temperature baking;

(2) Nylon straps soften or stiffen due to chemical erosion;

(3) Nylon camisoles become moldy and deteriorated, suffer from acid and alkali burns, and arc burns.

Delivery and Recycling of Nylon Straps

The nylon sling received by the user unit shall be organized and distributed by the material management department to the designated location of the user unit according to the demand plan of each unit.

The steel pipes transported from the previous process to the finished product warehouse shall be replaced with Class I or II lifting slings by the material management department, and Class III lifting slings shall be collected and recorded.

The nylon straps scrapped by each unit should be centrally stacked and delivered to the designated recycling point of the material management department. The material management department should regularly submit the inventory information of scrapped nylon slings to the sales department for bidding processing.
